Supported Barefoot Massage
The Kōra Method
TM
About this modality
Kōra Method ™ is a therapeutic barefoot massage modality that utilizes controlled body weight, intentional movement, and silk-assisted support to deliver deep, sustained pressure with precision and safety. Practitioners apply their feet to engage broad contact while maintaining balance and flow through the use of table-attached silks, allowing for effective depth without strain to the therapist’s body.
This modality emphasizes slow, methodical pressure, fascial release, and movement-based techniques to address chronic tension, postural imbalances, and deeply held restrictions. Kōra Method ™ blends grounding, structural work with fluid transitions, offering a treatment that is both deeply effective and nervous-system aware.
