Lymphatic drainage techniques have gained significant clinical traction in massage therapy, aesthetics, and postoperative care because of their capacity to support lymphatic circulation, enhance immune function, and reduce tissue edema. Brazilian Lymphatic Drainage (BLD) is a specialized form of lymphatic massage developed in Brazil — integrating traditional lymphatic drainage principles with a dynamic, rhythmical, and anatomically specific sequence designed to optimize lymph flow and tissue health.
This continuing education course provides therapists with a deep understanding of BLD, including its scientific underpinning, clinical benefits, detailed technique instruction, contraindications, distinctions from other lymphatic methods, and practical strategies for implementation and marketing in a professional practice. By the end of this course, therapists should be able to apply BLD techniques safely, effectively, and ethically, tailoring sessions to client needs and goals.
This course covers the following:
-
Differences: MDL vs Brazilian techniques
-
Fluid dynamics & edema mechanisms
-
